Late mortgage payments hit the roof last year 4th quarter. Subprime mortgage companies are now in trouble with the bank lenders because of the situation. Federal bank regulators are now asking the subprime lendors to be careful who they do business with. The AP writes that “Mounting concerns about risky mortgages have been making investors jittery.”
